About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu

What about Seattle - Shanghai (+ possible Hangzhou) - Seoul - SH - Seattle?

I was debating on flying a direct Seattle - SH round trip flight, and while in SH also leaving for a few days to Seoul.

It would be Seattle, then 3 days SH, 4 days Seoul, 1 night SH (likely staying overnight at an airport hotel), back to Seattle. If possible, I wanted to visit Hangzhou during the 3 day SH stretch.

Is all, or what parts of, this trip viable with the 144 hour visa free transit?

Your entire itinerary, under the condition that you have mentioned all your stops, is perfectly eligible for 144 hour TWOV during your first and for 24 or 144 hour TWOV during your second arrival in SH.

By the way, you are definitely allowed to travel to Hangzhou. Hangzhou is located within SH transit area.
