British Citizens flying to Beijing for cruise

My wife and I are flying into Beijing on 4th October from UK via a changeover in Europe. We are staying in Beijing for 3 nights then leaving on a cruise from Tianjin. We visit Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Vietnam and finish in Singapore where we fly back to UK. Can we use the 144 hour visa free entry for this trip

Yes, you can, but two following conditions have to be fulfilled:

- Your flight from Europe to Beijing should not have any additional landing in mainland China and in the country of your first port of call, immediately after Tianjin
- Your cruise from Tianjin should not have its first port of call, immediately after Tianjin, in mainland China

If the above mentioned is fulfilled, you are definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in Beijing area.
