About Transportation Card

Hello. I was reviewing your site trying to decide on a transportation card for my trip to china and had a question. Is there a single IC Transportation card that you can purchase that will work on subways/buses throughout China such as Beijing, Xi'an, and Chengdu? Or do you have to purchase one in each city?
