Caroline, you are eligible for 144 hour visa free transit, but the following conditions have to be fulfilled:

- Your cruise should not have its last port call, immediately before Tianjin, in mainland China. In other words, if Busan is your last port call before Tianjin and there are no more of them between Busan and Tianjin, you are fine.
- Your flight from Beijing to London should not have any additional stops within mainland China and South Korea

By the way, during your first stop in Beijing, on your flight to Tokyo, you are covered by 24 hour visa free transit, so even in this case you don't need a visa.
