If I'm right, then you should know that this option is available for the Philippine citizens in the form of 24 hour visa free transit. In other words, Philippine citizens are allowed to transit through China using 24 hour visa free transit through one or two cities within the itinerary between two countries.
In other words, you can do something like this:
Manila - Guangzhou - Beijing - Tokyo
In this case 24 hours are counted from your scheduled arrival in Guangzhou until your scheduled departure from Beijing. So, if this transit is under 24 hours, you can travel visa free and you don't need any kind of visa.0
