África, your itinerary, in case that you have mentioned all stops withing your itinerary is definitely eligible for visa free transit in SZ, so you really don't need any kind of visa. Now, it depends whether your stay will be shorter or longer than 24 hours. In case that your transit time is shorter than 24 hours, you will be eligible for 24 hour visa free transit and in case that the transit time is longer that 24 hours, you will enjoy 144 hour visa free transit. In any case, you are free from obtaining anything in advance. Of course, you will declare at the check-in in London that you will fly to Bangkok via SZ using visa free transit policy. You will need your tickets in hard copy that you will present in SZ too.

On more detail. You should not confuse the above mentioned 24/144 hour visa free transit with VOA, because you simply don't need that visa. You are covered by the mentioned visa free transit policy. So, you should not even mention VOA in order not to confuse the airport/immigration staff!
