Seattle - Shanghai - Hong Kong - Seattle
Hello, I have a question about the 144 hour visa free transit rule. (flying with a U.S. passport)
Our itinerary is as follows:
Seattle to Shanghai (4 nights)
Shanghai to Hong Kong (4 nights)
Hong Kong to Seattle
It appears we are eligible for the 144 hour visa free transit with this itinerary however I specifically had a question regarding our flight back home from Hong Kong to Seattle. The flight from Hong Kong has a 4 hour layover in Beijing en route to Seattle.
Will that change our eligibility for the 144 hour visa free transit at the start of our itinerary?
Just trying to avoid any unpleasant surprises.
