Do I need a visa or can I use the 144 hour visa free transit

I am on a Princess Cruise leaving Los Angeles and visiting Guam, Korea And Japan. We then go onto China.On day 29 and 30 we are in Beijing, day 31 is in Dalian and then on day 33 we disembark at Shanghai and fly back to the Uk.
Can we use a 144 hour visa free transit?

You do not qualify for visa-free transit because you have multiple stops in China. You must get a Chinese visa in advance. The cost for UK citizens is around GBP151 for the standard service.
