About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Beijing, Tianjin & Hebei

I am an American citizen who plans on flying to Beijing and then traveling to Tianjin

Hello, I plan on flying from NYC to BJ for one night, taking high speed rail to Tianjin for a family wedding for 2 nights, then going back to BJ for 2 nights before flying to Hong Kong. This seems like I am eligible for 144-hour visa-free transit. When I fly back to NYC from Hong Kong, there is a layover in BJ. I will not be leaving the airport for the layover, will this be acceptable? Thank you

How does one report there stops? Upon arrival?

I remember reading that in China foreigners have to report to local police precincts upon arrival, although this is typically done by your hotel or hostel, I thought that's maybe what he meant by unreported

If there are no other unreported stops, your entire itinerary is definitely eligible for 144 visa free transit during your first stop in Beijing area and for 24 hour visa free transit during your second stop in Beijing.

He means landings that are not mentioned in your post. Like NY > Beijing having a connection in Shanghai
