Would this qualify for the exemption? I live in the US.

I am traveling from Osaka to Shenzhen by air. I plan to stay in Shenzhen for 1 night, taking the train to Guangzhou for 2 nights and then going by train to Hong Kong. Would this qualify for the exemption? I live in the US.

Can I ask why it does not qualify? Would it qualify if I flew from Osaka to Shenzhen and then back to Osaka?

Sadie, Osaka-Shenzhen-Osaka is also not eligible. 144h visa exemption transit limits only one transit zone in China, and you must depart mainland China to the third country or region. Plus, Osaka- Shenzhen-Hong Kong -Osaka is qualified.
