Long Lay over

Will be having a 13 hrs lay over at Pu dong Shanghai airport. What visa should I apply? I'm a Filipino citizen currently working in Micronesia. How much will it cost for a day visa just to get out of the airport for a couple of hours before checking-in again for the connecting flight? Is it necessary to get one though?

Dear, if you are in transit in China for not more than 24 hours, you don't need the visa and you are allowed to get out of the airport.
