One year multiple entries for Malaysian passport

Due to business reasons, I would have to visit China frequently in a year. However, via a travel agent, I was advised that currently, the China embassy does not approve "one year multiple entries" visa. Is it real?

Tinnie, it is possible for you to apply for one year multiple entries type, but it may be quite difficult to obtain.

Dear, as long as you have adequate proofs indicating that you will go to China many times, it is possible for you to obtain one year multiple entries type.

Many of trips to China are on ad-hoc basis, thus could you kindly advise how could I proof it? And my passport could definitely prove such thing.

I would just rely on your travel agent's insight on this matter, as given the nature of their job they have to constantly keep their ears to the ground regarding latest quirks of local embassies and consulates.
