About:Visa on Arrival

Can a British passport holder gets a visa on arrival at Shenzhen borders

or he needs to apply a visa in advance?
If yes, please let me know if any documents is required.

UK citizens are definitely eligible for Shenzhen VOA. You don't have to make any application in advance. Everything you need is to arrive at the border crossing, prefreably Lo Wu / Luohu where you will present your passport, hand over your passport size photo, fill out the form and pay 304 CNY, preferably in cash. They have credit card option, but having the mentioned amount in Chinese cash is highly advisable.
