About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Transit Visa en route to New York

I hold a Malaysian Visa going to New York. My flight includes a 17 hours transit at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. Do I need to apply for a transit visa? Can I go out of the airport to visit Guangzhou during that period?

I think you would need to get the 24-hour TWOV if you want to leave the airport to visit Guangzhou.
