About:China Tourist Visa

Can you please explain what this "Proof of legal stay or residence status" is?

I'm an european citizen living in UK (for many years) and I'm planning to apply for a tourist Visa in London. Can you please explain what this "Proof of legal stay or residence status" is?
Many european living in UK don't need anything as we are still part of the EU.

Dear, as you don't need residence permit in UK, you may not need to provide the proof. You can confirm with Chinese Embassy in UK.
