Does anyone know if I would need to apply for a visa to an overnight layover in Beijing?

I am a United States citizen. I am flying from Vietnam to BJ China (1 day layover) and then heading to the United States. Do I fall under the visa exemption?

Yes, if your stopover is within 24 hours, you can enjoy the 24 hours visa free policy.
