About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Possible 2 entries in China

Hi, I will be flying Barcelona - Shanghai and Shanghai - Manila with two different flight reservations. When I return from Manila, I was expecting to stay 3 days in Shanghai before returning to Barcelona. Does this count as 2 different entries to China? In any case, will the 144-Hour Visa-Free system allow me to do this?

Albert, there are no limits on how many times you can use 144 hours visa free transit in China. So, you are welcome to use this scheme as much as you wish. Of course, your itinerary and your citizenship are supposed to be eligible. As I can see, your itineraries are fine, in case that you didn't forget to mention some additional stops, especially those within mainland China.

I also assume that during your first stop in Shanghai you will stay there for relatively short time and if this is the case, i.e. if the entire transit time will be shorter than 24 hours, then you will be covered by 24 hours visa free transit and during your second arrival by 144 hours visa free transit scheme.
