About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

I will fly to Hong Kong. From there I will fly to Shanghai for 2 days and from Shanghai to Taiwan.

and from Taiwan I go back to HK.

Can I use the 72 hrs visa?
Also I plan to visit Hangzhou during my stay at Shanghai. Is that allowed with the 72hrs visa?

Yes, you can use the 144h visa-free transit in Shanghai and you are allowed to visit Hangzhou.
