About:China Train Ticket Booking FAQ

Getting off at station other than the one booked on the ticket

Can I buy a ticket for one station but get off at an earlier one? I may have to do that due to prior arrangements as the people I am meeting may change their schedule and I don't want to go to the furthest station and then have to go back if their plans change.

You can get off the train in advance before it reach the station shows on paper ticket. This is no problem, but they will not refund you the price difference. Also, after you get off, you can no longer use that ticket to continue the trip.
