Do I need visa in Urumqi? In Guanghzou I will be in transit zone only... thanks a lot

Hello, I have flight 3rd Sept, from Vienna to Langkawi... with technical stop in Urumqi 1:35 hour and then in Guangzhou 5:40 hours, flight CZ6022... Do I need visa in Urumqi? In Guanghzou I will be in transit zone only... thanks a lot

Hm, and what about this rule?:
"24-hour visa-free transit in China, also called the 24-hour transit without visa (24-hour TWOV for short), regulates that visa is not required for air, train, and ship passengers transiting in mainland China for a stay of no more than 24 hours before heading for a third country or region"
and
"Besides, in Urumqi Diwopu International Airport, most travelers only enjoy visa-free transit for a maximum of 2 hours and are not allowed to get out of the airport." So?

Dear, it is fine for your transit in Urumqi. Just calculate your entire time by counting the hours from your first scheduled arrival in China until your last scheduled departure from China. Just do that and you will know whether you will travel visa free or you will have to obtain a visa in advance.

I read that in Urumqi you have to transit to a THIRD country within 2h. If you are continuing to another transit stop within China, you need a visa im afraid. But please check with the chinese embassy to make sure!
