About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

72 Hour transit visa in Beijing for British passport holder

I am a British passport holder flying from Heathrow to Beijing via Hong Kong. I arrive 18.25 on 4th Oct in Beijing and stay in a hotel until departure from the Tianjin cruise terminal at Oct 7th @17.00 hours . This is within the time of 72 hourswill I be allowed a Visa Free transit

You are definitely fine, especially because the time allowed for visa free transit in Beijing is increased from 72 to 144 hours. Keep in mind that your flight from Hong Kong to Beijing should not have any additional landing within mainland China and that your first cruise port call, immediately after Tianjin, should not be in mainland China.
