About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

7h layover in Beijng

I hold a Canadian passport. I have a 7 hr layover in Beijing (YYZ-PEK) before leaving for another flight to Singapore (PEK-SIN). Do i need a visa to leave the airport? Thanks in advance

You don't need a visa to transit, but leaving the airport is at the discretion of the immigration officers on the day. With a short transit it's possible to be denied the temporary entry permit.
