About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Italian Citizen arriving to china from Vietnam

Hello

We are 2 italian Citizen, we are staying in Vietnam, (one with tourist Visa and one with Resident Card)

We would like to have a weekend trip to Chengdu, the itinerary would be SGN-CTU

Would it be eligible for the 72h visa exemption?

You must be in transit to a third country for the 144 hour transit without visa. SGN-CTU-SGN requires a visa.
