About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Two lay overs.

I am flying from the United States into Beijing, Peking and land July 5 at 7:30pm. I leave on July 8 at 7:55 am on Monday morning to Thailand on China Southern Airlines. However, I have a layover in Guanagzhou China for one hour and fifty minutes before I reach my final destination in Phuket. Do I qualify for the transit visa?

Dear, your itinerary is US-Beijing-Guangzhou-Thailand, right? 24 hours visa free transit means that you will fly without any kind of visa. Just calculate your entire time by counting the hours from your first scheduled arrival in China until your last scheduled departure from China. If your stay is less than 24 hours, you will enjoy visa exemption; otherwise, you will have to obtain a visa in advance.
