About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Just a doubt

I'm Italian and I want to use a 144 hours visa free transit in Shanghai; my itinerary will be:

Frankfurt - Shanghai - Taipei (with Air China)
Taipei - Beijing - Madrid (with Air China)

Can I visit in addition to Shanghai also Suzhou and Hangzhou ? (all in 144 hours?)
Do you think I can communicate in English in Suzhou and in Hangzhou ? (this is an individual journey)
Thanks

Your both itineraries are eligible for 144 hours visa free transit in Shanghai and in Beijing, of course if all the possible stops are mentioned precisely. You are definitely allowed to visit both Suzhou and Hangzhou because they are located in Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces that along with Shanghai city area form pretty large Shanghai transit zone. You can use every available means of transport between the mentioned places. As far as the communication is concerned, you will be just fine with English alone. Of course, you will have to engage more effort that in some other parts of the world, but you will soon realize that this is not such a problem at all.

what do you mean " if all the possible stops are mentioned precisely" ? Are you referring to flights ?
Frankurt - Shanghai and Shanghai - Taipei are no stop flights, while Beijing is a seven hours transit and I don't want to leave the airport (I don't want to visit Beijing)
