About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

China 24-Hour Visa-Free Transit Valid for Pakistani passport holder?

I am pakistani citizen (but US green card holder) and my daugthers are US citizens, we are travelling to Pakistan and will have a 10 hours layovers at Beijing (PEK) airport. we would love to go outside the airport to do a quick trip of Beijing, are we eligible? we are not gonna reserve any hotel though since our stay is just 10 hours.

I will use practically the same answer to you as I have already used to answer to similar question in the post just bellow yours:

Your entire itinerary is perfectly covered be 24 hours visa free transit, so you don't need a visa. As far as your intention to exit the airport is concerned, you are always allowed to apply for 24 hours free entry permit upon your landing in Beijing. Anyway, recent examples tend to present the increasingly unwillingness of the Chinese immigration authorities to grant that permit even during the longer layovers. I'm not aware what their reasons for that might be, so I advise you to obtain transit visa in advance if you really wish to exit the airport and make the stroll in the city. If you are fine with waiting at the airport or to try your luck with the entry permit, this is also fine. Now, it's up to you to make a decision because obtaining three visas just for 10 hours or in reality even less than that, doesn't sound too economically.
