Hi i am travelling to north korea by train which departs from beijing.

So i think i will need to apply for a transit visa to enter china twice, or is the free 72 hour transit also possible when you arrive by plane and depart by train? I will be in south korea and japan before i go there, is it possible to aply for the visa there as a dutch pasport holder?

Joeri, can you specify your itinerary as I can't figure out whether you are eligible for actually 144h visa exemption transit based on your current information. Plus, you can apply for Chinese visa in Japan or Korea.
