About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Traveling from Hong Kong to Guangzhou

I am a US citizen. I am visiting Hong Kong next month and wanted to visit Guangdong province. Afterwards, I fly to Saigon. May I enter China by train from Hong Kong or must it be by a flight?

If you don’t have a visa then you must fly to Guangzhou, and then fly nonstop to Vietnam without returning to Hong Kong.
