About:China F Visa

Visit China on an F Visa for a cultural exchange with one entry. Can I visit Hong Kong?.

Part of exchange was going to Hong Kong for a day with the group. I asked for 3 entries but was given only one. So I believe that I cannot go to the day in Hong Kong planned as part of this. The day trip is in the middle of my stay in China. My work is pure volunteer work. Is there anyway to go to Hong Kong with the group? Can I visit someplace in Shanghai or ask special permission of anyone for just this day. I thought Hong Kong was China so I never realized the one entry would stop me from.going with my group.

As you only have one entry, so you can't enter China again with this F visa. If you want to visit HK, I advise you to check whether you can use the 144h visa-free transit when you reenter, or just apply for a China visa in HK.
