About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Does getting a visa in advance maximize my chances of going out?

I have a layover for 14-17 hours on both layovers. Does getting a visa in advance maximize my chances of going out on a layover. I have read many horror stories and I do not want take risk being turned down at the 24 hour entry permit counter. With a regular visa, would they probably allow me even if it is less than 24 hours?

There are no horror stories because simply speaking, entry permit is something that doesn't belong to the right of the passengers traveling on 24 hours visa free transit, with the exception when they have separate tickets and simply have to exit the airport (transit area) to make new check-in or similar. To conclude, entry permit is a kind of privilege and is always issued upon discretion of immigration authorities. So, those people speaking about so called horror stories, simply didn't know that they didn't have a right to be allowed entry permits in the first place.

OK, I will confirm that with a possession of valid visa you will be definitely allowed to exit the airport. I understand you and I will suggest you to obtain double entry transit (G) visa because this is the most logical choice because it will be issued with far less hassle that, for example, tourist (L) visa.
