About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

American to visit Beijing from Seoul and return to Seoul-will 72 hour visa work?

Can I get the 72 hour visa if I am flying LAX to Seoul, stay 6 days, go to Beijing for 72 hours and return to Seoul for flight back to United States? Thank you.

You will need a visa since the entry and exit country are the same. The other option is to fly Beijing to a third country before returning through Seoul.
