About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Question about multiple connections

Hello,
My friend and I are looking to book tickets to Tokyo and the Xiamen Airlines trip we are looking at has a 21 hour and 45 minute layover in Xiamen and then a 1 hour 35 minute layover in Fuzhou. Both of us hold US passports and would like to see Xiamen. During our layover. Will we have problems with our connecting flight in Fuzhou without a visa? I saw that was an airport listed in the exceptions.

Look, in your case it is not Fuzhou the biggest problem because even in case that it has started to accept visa free transit passengers, your flight itinerary exceeds 24 hours and for that reason, you will have to obtain a visa in advance or just find another flight combination. When we sum up your layovers you have 23 hours and 20 minutes in layovers, but you have to add exactly 50 minutes that is scheduled for the flight between Xiamen and Fuzhou although the flight itself takes just between 25 and 35 minutes. So, when we add the mentioned 50 minutes, your entire scheduled transit time is 24 hours and 10 minutes and that is not allowed. I'm sorry, but I think that it's better for you to know this before your final decision on tickets booking.
