About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do I qualify for 24hour visa free transit?

I am a Philippine passport holder and I’ll be traveling from Dubai - Guangzhou - Manila. I’m Guangzhou, I’ll have 7 hours spare time and I want to go out to have a quick sightseeing and go back to the Guangzhou airport. Am I qualified for this 24 hour free visa transit?

If I am not qualified for this, is being a resident of Dubai (permanant UAE resident card holder) allows me to enter China without visa? Also, I have multiple Shengen Visa (4 years).

Michael, your itinerary grants you automatically 24 hours visa free transit. Anyway, it is highly unlikely that you will be allowed to exit the airport because Chinese authorities usually grant 24 hours free entry permit for layovers longer than 8 hours. Despite the mentioned, you are absolutely allowed to apply for the mentioned permit upon your landing at Guangzhou airport and see what will be decision by the authorities. By the way, having any kind of residence, visas or anything else, simply speaking doesn't have any effect at Chinese authorities because they look only at your citizenship.
