From Student type to Tourist type Visa or 30 Day Stay Permit
My boyfriend is about to finish his master's degree from a Chinese Univesity and his student visa will expire soon. He plans to stay and work and is looking for jobs at the moment. He is very stressed about the next steps, he wants to stay in China for a little bit and travel to see some places he never had the time to see and also take the time to go through all of his stuff etc. What are his options for staying longer; Can he apply for the Humanitarian Temporary Stay Permit of 30 days? (I have had this a couple of times after my residence permit expired) and can he then, or can he alternatively apply for a Tourist Visa? He needs some option so as not to leave and come back because he doesn't have much money (obvs.. student) thanks for the help guys.
