About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

7 hours of stopover at Guangzhou Airport

Hello, I will go to France from Osaka the 8th June. I will have 7 hours of stopover at Baiyun Airport. I won't have any checked luggage. Will it be possible to get the visa free transit and visit a little bit City before getting on my plane for Paris? How long does it take by subway from the airport to downtown?

Actually, your itinerary, in case that you have reported all your stops, is qualified for 24 hours visa free transit in China. Anyway, you should know that 24 hours visa free transit is different thing than 24 hours free entry permit that allows you to exit the airport and make a short stroll in the city. So, upon your landing in Guangzhou, you will apply for 24 hours free entry permit and wait to see whether your application will be granted or rejected. You have to know that entry permits are usually not granted for layovers shorter than 8 hours... So, you should apply, but you should not be disappointed if rejected. Metro from the airport, line number 3, takes roughly 35 minutes to the center of the city.
