About:Visa on Arrival

I’m planning to go to Shenzhen for one day from Hong Kong

However my passport expires in less than 6 months. Since China has that 6 month validity rule, would I be granted a 5 day visa?
Thanks

For the purposes of very short stay in mainland China, this is usually tolerated, but the passport definitively cannot expire in less than 3 months. 3 months validity is an absolute minimum.
