Can my daughter exit the airport during lay overs?
Hello, my daughter is a Malaysian citizen (holding Malaysia Passport). She is a student in Taiwan Chiayi University. She receive an offer from USA Idaho University for 2 months traineeship program in summer 2019. She had also received her visa to USA. She will be flying Xiamen Air on 2nd July,2019 from Taipei to Seattle via Xiamen. The flight lay over at Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport for 12 hrs during midnight. She intend to book a hotel outside the airport for a rest. And for her way back to Taipei later on 27th Aug,2019, yet with another long lay over of 19+ hrs. Kindly advice if she entitle to a 24 hours visa free transit. If yes, how is she going about to apply this transit permit in Taiwan? Looking forward to for kind reply. Thank you. Edwin
