About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Australia to Korea via Beijing

I would like to visit Korea, but also have friends in Beijing I would like to see on my stopovers to and from Korea. I got a great deal flying via Beijing rather than going to Korea, and having the side trip to Beijing. Will this be eligible for the 72 visas in both directions? Route Perth 3 Jun to Beijing 4 Ju. Fly to Seoul from 6 to 9 Jun. Return to Beijing on the 9th and leave on the 11th.neither the first or the second parts in Beijing exceed 72hours, or 144 together.

So, your entire itinerary is Perth - Beijing - Seoul - Beijing - Perth. This itinerary is eligible for 144 hours visa free transit twice, so you don't have to bother yourself with too precise counting of days because there is no legal limit on how many times one can apply for this facility. By the way, you should have in mind that your flight from Australia to Beijing and Beijing to Australia, should not have any additional landing(s) within mainland China.
