About:Guangzhou Travel Guide

Visa for Guangzhou 3 nights stay

I am an Australian passport holder and would like to go to Guangzhou from Hong Kong by train for 3 nights and from GZ fly back to Australia. Do I need a visa for that? I don't know if the 72 hours visa free transit rule apply.

It has become 144-hour free visa transit now. Only three ports including Baiyun Airport, Shenzhen Bao'an Airport, as well as Jieyang Chaoshan Airport can issue the 144 hour free transit so you cannot take train from HK to GZ.
