About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Traveling to Shanghai by plane, staying two nights at Shanghai Disney, then cruise

Hello, we are flying into Shanghai, Pudong Airport, from Los Angeles, staying 2 nights at Shanghai Disney, then embarking on a 15 day cruise with Oceania. Our cruise leaves out of Shanghai Cruise port and goes to South Korea, Taiwan, and Japan. We fly out of Tokyo 20 days after arriving in China. Are we eligible for the 240 hour tourist transit visa?

Rachel, your itinerary is definitely eligible for 240 hour visa free transit and you do not need any kind of visa. The basic rule of 240 hour visa free transit requires that the immediate points before and after mainland China are located in two different countries or eligible territories (eligible territories are Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau).
