About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Arriving by cruise ship to Shanghai, ship stays overnight and leaves the next afternoon.

Does this qualify for 144 hour transit pass?

If the port before and after Shanghai are in different countries then you can do transit without visa. If the scheduled duration in port is over 24 hours then 144 hour transit withoit visa will be issued. If under 24 hour transit then the 24 hour transit without visa will be issued.
