told to go china embassy.

went to chinese visa application service center (SG) to apply Q visa for my baby. Then i was told to go to china embassy to do visa as my baby birth cert stats mother's particulars ID document no is F/PPT. Any idea why, thanks

Could be that your baby still holds Chinese nationality. Embassies in countries with visa centers no longer issue visas and only deal with travel documents or passports for Chinese nationals.

Was your kid's mother a Chinese national at the time of his/her birth? If so your kid is also a Chinese national at birth when the mother does not hold a permanent resident ID. Chinese nationals must travel on a Chinese Travel Document and not on a non-Chinese passport.
