About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

How do I get or do I need a visa for a stay less than 24 hours?

Will overnight at nearby hotel. Arrive 15:20 depart 8:30 next day.

Keith, could you just supply some additional information. We need your itinerary in order to be able to give you any kind of information. In general, if you are transiting through China from one country and continue from China to another one and with transit time (from your scheduled arrival in China until your scheduled departure from China) less than 24 hours, then you can travel visa free based on 24 hours visa free transit. Anyway, we really need your precise itinerary to tell you that with certainty.
