About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Do they need to apply a dual entry visa? or HK will count as part of China too?

A group of US colleagues plan a trip to china, but their itinerary will be as below:

1. Arrival hk by air and transfer to Shenzhen by car, after meeting will go back to HK by car
2. After meeting in HK will then fly to Beijing for meeting and signtseeing
3. Fly off directly from Beijing

Do they need to apply double-entry visa? or hk will be counted as China as well, so they could just apply single entry visa? or better apply multi-entry visa? Kindly advise

The duration to apply double-entry or single entry or multiple-entry visa are same in the States?
