About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

What visa do we need for a 80 h transfer from PEK to Tianjin port

We arrive from Europe on Schengen passports on Thursday morning 8:30 and leave from Tianjin port at 17:00 on Sunday (80 h). Will we need to apply for Visas beforehand or do we qualify for 144 free transit visa?

You're fine for the 144h twov as long as your next stop after Tianjin is not another chinese port.

Is this your itinerary is Europe - Beijing - Tianjin - cruise to a third country?

In case that your itinerary is exactly as the above mentioned, you are definitely eligible for 144 hours visa free transit in Beijing and you don't need to apply for any kind of visa. Anyway, you should look about your cruise itinerary and confirm that your first port after you leave Tianjin is outside mainland China, i.e. it can be in Sout Korea, Japan... Just bring your flight tickets, hotel booking and your cruise ticket with you in hard copy.
