About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

My wife is Chinese from Mainland China my Q2 visa expires soon.

Can I apply for a Foreigners residence permit. I am a British citizen.

No, you can't. You can apply for Q1 for the second time, and then apply for residence permit.
