About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Traveling from Spain to Shanghai via Paris and return same route.

HI, I am flying from Valencia (Spain) via Paris to Shanghai Pudong, arrival on Tuesday May 28th in the afternoon and return via the same route on Friday May 31st at 00h10 with night flight.
Is this valid for the 144h VISA?
I have Belgian citizenship.

Hi Jim, as you will fly from Paris to Shanghai to Paris, your route is not valid for the transit visa. The country/region you fly from outside China must be different from the country/region you fly to from China.

If you are on Air France, see if you can change one of your flights to KLM. Paris-Shanghai-Amsterdam works.
