About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can I use the Shanghai 144-hour transit?

I will be in China from July 1 to 21 2019. I am approved for an F Visa during this time.

I will fly from Shanghai to Bangkok on July 21 2019 and I will travel around Asia for one week. I will return to Shanghai on July 28 2019 from Taipei because on July 29 2019 I will fly to Toronto from Shanghai.

This is definitely eligibe for 144 hours visa free transit in Shanghai because your itinerary that matters is Taipei - Shanghai - Canada. Here just a warning that your citizenship has to be eligible (Canadian one is fine) and your flight from Shanghai to Toronto should not have any additional landings in Taiwan or mainland China.

Thank you for the clarification!

So, it doesn't matter that I have a single-entry (F) Visa that is eligible for 30 days (from July 1st) since I'm departing China on the 21st of July, right?
