About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Beijing, Tianjin & Hebei

We are going to Australia from the UK. We are staying in Beijing for 3 nights hotel

and onward flights booked
this should be ok?

Yes, you are eligible for 144 hours visa free transit, but you should keep in mind that both of your flights should not have any additional landing in mainland China.
