L Visa for Dual Citizenship passport Holder

I'm a Dual Citizen from US and Colombia and currently reside in the US. I have both passports. I think the L Visa is cheaper if I apply using my Colombian passport. Would there be any problems if I do this even though I reside in the US?

I'm afraid you have to apply with your US passport because you apply from the US.
